Kuan Yin is a very prominent and admired Goddess, widely pursued by the Chinese and followers of Mahayana Buddhism. Being the definitive icon of mercy and passion, Kuan Yin is a respectable maiden, as her tale tells. She actually reached the point where she could become a Buddha (enlightenment) and yet she decided to stay on Earth, remaining a “Pu Sa” or Bodhisatva . She wanted to help humankind achieve better karma, leading them to the Western Heavens, where they can find serenity and joy.
