Brass God of Beggar

The God of Beggars or Chek Kong or Chi Kung, a highly revered deity among Chinese Buddhists, is an idol who defends the poor and weak. It is because of this that he has many followers among lower class and commoners, who look to him for hope and guidance. He keeps with him a fan which can perform many magical feats, and a bottle of wine. He is seen here resting on a giant Wu Lou, the symbol of good health and longevity in Feng Shui.
