Chinese Emperor's Coins
Because it is round, with a square hole in the center, it is said to be a representation of earth surrounded by heaven.
For many centuries, Chinese coins have been a very desirable icon, signifying prosperity and owning many riches. The coins from the Ching Dynasty, the most powerful dynasty in Chinese history, are the most highly valued. Coins used during the reign of the emperors Kang Ksi or Chien Long are also highly revered, and said to be more auspicious than others.
The Chinese coin itself has an interesting design and depiction; because it is round, with a square-shaped hole in the center, it is said to be a representation of earth surrounded by heaven. It is for this reason that, when utilized by humans, they are an emblem of the harmony of the “Heaven-Earth-Man” or "Tien Di Ren" . The coin has two sides; The Yang side, which boasts the four Chinese signs of the emperor’s reign, and the Yin side, which features 2 ancient characters. The coins are often held on red or gold string, according to auspicious Chinese numbers, each having its own meaning: three (the harmony of heaven, earth and humankind), six (symbolism of heaven luck) or nine (the entirety of the universe).
These Chinese replica old coins are from the Qing period. Of all the Chinese dynasties, the Qing was the most glorious and strongest. During the Qing dynasty which lasted for almost 300 years, the Chinese imperial system was perfected and reached its zenith of influence and power. It is during this era that China’s borders were extended farther than they had ever been before. Because of the period these coins are from, they are said to be extremely auspicious and powerful.
The 10 emperors of the Qing dynasty and their reigning periods are Shun Zhi (1644-1661), Kang Xi (1662-1722), Yong Zheng (1723-1735), Qian Long (1736-1796), Chia Ching (1796-1820), Tao Kwong (1820-1850), Shen Fung (1850-1861), Tung Chi (1862-1874) and Kwong Shui (1875-1908) and Shuen Tung (1909 - 1911).
There are many ways to use the Chinese coins; one of these is to simply keep them in areas which will enhance your wealth luck, such as bookshelves, wallets, work portfolios or computer desks. While they are readily available, because they are often duplicated, they must still be used with caution; always place the Chinese coins with the Yang side up; this is for the reason that it has more auspicious Chinese figures on it than the Yin side, and so will reap more rewards.
Feng Shui tips to best utilize your Chinese coins:
1) Display the Chinese coins alongside important Feng Shui products that attract wealth luck, such as the Money Frog, Wealth Deities , Pi Yao, Wealth Ship, Wealth Pot or God of Wealth. When the Chinese coins are paired with these symbols, they are said to increase their wealth-drawing powers by manifolds.
2) On top of your rice pot, place an “angpow” (traditional Chinese red packet of money) along with Chinese coins; this is reputed to serve to increase your income luck and enhance wealth luck. You can also choose to place the loose coins into the angpow itself, activating the powers of potent wealth emblems.
3) Place Chinese coins into the wealth vases or ships that you keep around your home. Filling them with treasures symbolizes an everlasting flow of prosperity.
4) Coins, because of their strong metal energies, are most powerful when placed in the North, West and Northwest corners.
5) It is very beneficial to place hundreds of Chinese coins around your home in discreet places, such as under floor boards or inside wall planks. This is especially true for those involved with business and intense money-making, and is it believed that living in a nest of coins will work very effectively in increasing all-round wealth luck. If you are renovating your house, you may scatter these coins on the ground before any flooring or tiling work is done.
6) The Northwest sector is the generator of Mentor Luck (Feng Shui Bagua Formula), and is of the Metal element; placing a chest of Chinese coins underground in the Northwest corner of your yard or garden will activate this element, and is said to increase both serious fortune luck for the patriarch and wealth luck for the whole family. Mentor Luck, Nobleman Luck or "Gui Ren" luck is the kind of luck that will bring you a good samaritan or someone kind and helpful who will give you a lending hand or a life-changing push during times of distress, trouble and difficulty; not necessarily in the form of money but also opportunities, wise advice, support, encouragement or simply be there to listen.
7) With the Yang side up, embed the auspicious figure of nine coins under the walkway coming up to your front entrance; this will symbolize the path of money flow into your home.
