What is Meteorite?

Meteorites are rare treasure and gift from the outer space universe. It is the residue of meteor that was not totally burnt up while entering the Earth's atmosphere. Simply speaking, it is a stone from the sky. Its origin can be from an asteroid belt, from a comet, or even from the other planets.

Having traveled in space for 4 billion years before it landed on Earth, Meteorite shares comparable if not greater age than our solar system. The formal full name of Meteorite is "Iron-Nickel Meteorite" as it is mainly composed of iron and nickel.

A Widmanstätten pattern (as seen on our meterorite products) is a characteristic cross-hatched pattern that becomes visible on the surface of Meteorites. According to the latest scientific research, the formation of the "Widmanstätten Pattern" proceeds by diffusion of nickel in the solid alloy at temperatures between 700 and 450°C, and can only take place during very slow cooling, about 100 to 10,000°C per million years, with total cooling times of 10 million years or less. It is such a unique natural phenomenon that cannot be reproduced in the laboratory.

The six-pointed Star of David symbol is composed by two overlaying faceted triangles to form a hexagram (an inverted triangle (female side) on one side and an aligned triangle (male side) on the other which can be seen through the translucent crystal pendant.
