This Wealth deity is shown holding a scroll with Chinese characters that reads 'Inviting loads of wealth and prosperity'!

The Wealth God is one of the most prominent icons of prosperity, wealth and fortune. He holds a unique responsibility to assist people in becoming wealthy, and is therefore very admired in Chinese society. Many rituals are held and paintings put up during the Chinese New Year, to invite him to come into homes and bring good fortune with him. During this time, it is said that the God of Wealth brings with him the ability to expand windfall and bring luck for the year ahead. He would bless any life he touches with unimaginable good fortune. This Wealth deity figurine wearing an auspicious red robe is shown holding a gold ingot and displaying a scroll with Chinese characters that reads "Inviting loads of wealth and prosperity"!

The Wealth God was an affluent man known as Shen Wan San. During the Ming Dynasty in ancient China, his role was a finance manager. The ancient tales tell that he owned a wealth pot which could endlessly output money and jewellery. When Zhu Yuan Zhang wanted to expand and empower the Ming Dynasty, he sought after the help of Shen Wan San. The Heavenly God later dubbed him with the title of “Wealth God Creation”.

To bring good fortune with business and sales, place an image of the Chinese Wealth God in your living room, main hall or office. During good times, he will convey opulence, and in bad times he has the power to protect from poverty. The Wealth God is a must-have for people pursuing their luck in gambling activities such as lottery, horse-racing, football betting, casino, stock-broking and share investment.

This divinity must be placed accurately in the home for best business success. It is ideal to place him directly facing your main entrance, to allow for chi to flow through entry points; another option would be to place him diagonally facing the main entrance, if directly is not feasible. The Wealth God simply needs to be displayed appropriately; it is not necessary to pray to him.

The Chinese Wealth God must be placed accurately for its powers to have effect. The following are ideal situations for the God:

  1. Place the Rich Wealth God in the Southeast corner (Wealth corner) of the room; this will serve to set in motion your wealth luck, as well as to improve current wealth luck.
  2. The Wealth God should be placed facing your main entrance, making him visible when anyone walks into the house or office; this will invite wealth and luck of fortune into the home or office through chi entry points. In addition, the Wealth God will alter all types of chi into prosperity chi.
  3. To bring in more customers and thus more sales and monetary increases, place the Wealth God in your office, store or working area.
  4. Place the God of Wealth in the Northwest sector of the room; this will serve to bring you financial support and assist in seeking opportunities for money-making.
  5. For anyone looking to be successful in their field of work, a Wealth God in the room is essential. It has the power to give us positive vibes, constantly reminding you to search for business opportunities.
  6. Place the Rich Wealth God in your Sheng Chi (Best Direction) – this can be determined based on your Feng Shui Kua number.
  7. In your home or office, place the Wealth God in the Water Star-8 area.

*Note* Despite the fact that you need not pray to the Wealth God, you must still show them revere and respect. Never place a Wealth God in the toilet, in the kitchen, or on the floor.
