Feng Shui for Mentor Luck
Feng Shui for Mentor Luck
According to the 8 Life Aspirations Bagua Theory, the Northwest sector governs the kind of luck that attracts important mentors, supportive people, friends, good samaritans and advisers into your life, or someone kind and helpful who will give you a lending hand or a life-changing push during times of distress, trouble and difficulty; not necessarily in the form of money but also opportunities, wise advice, support, encouragement or simply be there to listen. This kind of luck is called as Mentor Luck, Nobleman Luck, Patron luck or "Gui Ren" luck. It brings powerful and influential mentor who can assist your climb up the corporate ladder. To achieve great success in today’s corporate world, it’s no denying that you need ‘connections’. Feng shui can help you get that!
One way to effectively activate Mentor luck is to display images of gods, deities or powerful leaders in the form of statues, figurines, portraits or paintings in the Northwest sector of the home or office. One of the most common representations of gods and heroes in the Chines culture that is used is Kwan Kung, the God of Protection and Wealth. He was one of China’s most prominent and successful war heroes. He has become renowned as the “Great Protecter”, who defends politicians, businessmen and the Armed Forces. He is the bestower of justive, defending the innocent and revered by the righteous.

Alternatively, you can choose to use the picture of an icon, legendary figures or folk heroes in your culture, or successful leaders of your nation whom you look up to and who inspires you in the kind of achievements that you aspire. For example, if you are a budding singer or actor, you may want to stick a poster of a famous celebrity whom you idolize. If you’re an American – a portrait of a past president whom you highly respect and admire. A sportsman – a picture of a successful sportsman in the sports you are playing that you are a big fan of.
As the ruling element of the Northwest sector is Metal, statues or figurines made of metal (brass, silver, pewter etc.) or earth material (clay, crystal or ceramic) should be used as they strengthen Metal. In that sense, Feng shui products strong in metal or earth energy such as windchimes or crystal balls can also be used to energize the Northwest sector. Avoid wooden ones as it weakens Metal.
The Chinese believe that the dragon is a terrific bringer of luck, the ultimate symbol of good luck. The dragon belongs to the East sector. When placed here, it will improve your mentor luck. Use any material but not metal dragon in this sector.
