Tibetan Kartika Tantric Knife

This unique unsharpened Tibetan ceremonial knife or axe, called Kartika made of antiquated brass has wonderful carving which gives it a fabulous and exotic look.

The Tibetan Tantric Knife is a Buddhist ritual implement that represents the piercing edge of wisdom that severes attachments to worldly things. It removes the six basic transgressions, namely greed, pride, hatred, ignorance, wrong outlook and doubt.

Traditionally, the tantric use of this magical knife includes exorcism, conquering evil spirits, curing of diseases, consecrations (puja), weather-making and meditation. Also known as the "enemy-axe", this powerful weapon is used to destroy malignant demons or enemies of the Buddhadharma.
